What businesses need to understand

The UAE Electronic Invoicing System uses structured electronic invoice data and a decentralised five-corner model involving Accredited Service Providers. Kasaloma Books focuses on the accounting side of that workflow.

01

Structured e-Invoices

A PDF, Word document, image, scan or email is not by itself a UAE e-Invoice. The system uses structured electronic data that can be automatically processed.

02

Accredited Service Provider

Businesses subject to the system use an Accredited Service Provider for regulated electronic invoice exchange and reporting. Kasaloma Books is positioned as the accounting platform, not as an ASP unless separately accredited.

03

PINT AE & XML

The UAE framework uses PINT AE within the Peppol interoperability framework and supports standardised XML electronic invoice exchange.

04

Accounting connection

Kasaloma Books keeps invoices, credit notes, payments, customers, suppliers, VAT records and accounting data organised for integration with an e-Invoicing service provider.

Frequently asked

UAE e-Invoicing questions

Clear answers for businesses planning their accounting and e-Invoicing transition.

What is UAE e-Invoicing?+

It is a structured electronic invoicing system in which invoice data is issued, exchanged and reported electronically through the UAE framework. Unstructured PDFs, Word documents, images and scans are not e-Invoices by themselves.

Is Kasaloma Books an Accredited Service Provider?+

Kasaloma Books is accounting software. It should not be described as an Accredited Service Provider unless Kasaloma separately obtains the required UAE accreditation.

Can Kasaloma Books integrate with an e-Invoicing Service Provider?+

Kasaloma Books is designed to support integration with an e-Invoicing Service Provider so accounting and invoice data can participate in the regulated electronic invoicing workflow.

Does UAE e-Invoicing mean sending PDF invoices by email?+

No. A PDF or emailed invoice is an unstructured document. UAE e-Invoicing uses structured electronic invoice data that can be automatically processed and exchanged.
